Mid-Week Bible Study

Join us Wednesday mornings as we continue to study the 
Letter of Paul to the Romans.

We meet in Upper Nelson from 10 - 11 a.m.  All are welcome.

Women's Fellowship

Women's Fellowship meets the first Thursday of each month at 7:00 pm.  

The evening consists of different topics, guest speakers or just games and fellowship.

Quilter’s Crossing
     Quilting for Lutheran World Relief



Each Thursday morning St. Andrew’s quilters meet to put LWR quilts together.  More workers are needed.  Sewing ability is not needed.  There are many other tasks in the “assembly line,” such as pinning, tying knots, measuring, sorting, turning, etc.  We’ll show you how!  You will get a lot done, feel good about your morning and have a nice time with friends.

LWR and its partners has responded to all these emergencies and others including our hurricane Katrina.  Shelter, water, sanitation, bedding, food, medical supplies and counseling have been provided.  In 2005, LWR sent 1,600 tons worth more than $13 million.  Included in this total was 429,660 quilts!


Coffee Sale

The first Sunday of every month you have an opportunity to help impoverished coffee farmers all around the world by purchasing Fair Traded Coffee from Lutheran World Relief. The Women’s Breakfast Bible Study sponsors the monthly sale which is held between church services in the narthex. Most of our flavors are available for about $6 per pound. Please stop by our table on the first Sunday of the month and help us help the world!!!



PADS - Providing Advocacy Dignity and Shelter

With our Church year in full swing so is our new PADS Ministry.  St. Andrew will be supplying and cooking dinner and breakfast once a month for the Messiah PADS shelter.  We are asking the congregation for donations of food and supplies from our shopping list. Please look for the shopping list in the Narthex and see where you can help.   Anyone wishing to partner in this mission or with questions can contact Tom at tomgirm@lycos.com /847-367-5281 or the church office. Wednesday Evening Potluck Bible Study 


You are welcome to join us Wednesday evenings at 6:00 PM as we gather for both physical and spiritual nourishment.  We meet downstairs in Johnson Hall for a simple potluck supper followed by a preview of the upcoming Sunday’s scripture readings.

Bring a dish to share. Drinks, plates and silverware are provided.
